Day 31

It's no secret that Logan loves books.  Today, he went in his room, climbed in the rocker, stood up, and grabbed some of the books off the window sill and started reading.  I immediately ran and grabbed my camera.  I got these 2 shots...

He then immediately got down from the chair and I was so sad.  It seems like he always quits doing the cutest things when I get the camera out.  Little did I know that he was going to do something even cuter.  Apparently this little smarty pants, is so used to having his monthly picture in the chair that he felt something was missing since I was taking pictures of him in the chair.  Can you guess what he got down to get??

Yep, he needed his bear of course!  It was the cutest thing!  He knew exactly where it was, went straight to it, grabbed it, and headed back to his room and climbed in the chair.  He then proceeded to get more books and to "read" to his bear.  Melts my heart!

Notice it's Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?

Then this one is Pet the Bear and his Alaskan Friends (his friend Luke gave it to him from Alaska - it's a touch and feel and Logan loves it!)

This is My First Colors Board Book and I kid you not, the first page he opened it to was brown with the giant picture of, yep - you guessed it, a bear!  I thought it was the funniest thing that he was reading to his bear all of the bear books.

Day 30

Logan loves to eat.  That's no surprise, but some of the things that he loves are a little surprising.  He loves bell pepper and will often choose to eat it over anything else you give him.  Silly boy!

Day 29

Before we headed home from Austin, we all met up at Chili's for some lunch.  Logan had lots of people to help entertain him.

We tried to get a good picture of him with Uncle Moose and Aunt Mere, but of course, the one with Logan looking turns out to be out of focus.  Oh well!  It's not too bad though.

Day 28

Today, we were in Austin to celebrate the upcoming arrival of sweet baby Grace.  Her mommy, Lizzie (my sister-in-law's sister), had a shower today and we all (well, the girls) went to help celebrate.  It was a wonderful shower, Lizzie is a beautiful mommy-to-be, and baby Gracie got lots of wonderful things.  She is a blessed little girl!

I did a terrible job of taking photos (as in I took ZERO, nada, zilch, none - yep! Good job, me!), but lucky for me, my mother-in-law was there and was able to get some.

Here are a couple sweet ones of Logan looking at the i-pad with his Uncle Moose.

The Struttons (my sister-in-law's family) were very gracious hosts and we spent most of the day at their home.  They even got out one of Aunt Mere's & Lizzie's toys, and Logan was very interested in it.  It's a little puppy that you can ride, and Logan loved it, but for some reason wanted nothing to do with actually riding it.  It sure was cute though!

Day 27

Logan loves to play in the bath tub.  He especially loves to play in the water as it comes out of the faucet.  I think he has figured out that if he unplugs the drain, we will turn the water on to refill the bathtub because he is constantly unplugging it (it's the worst plug too, all you have to do is barely push on it to unplug it).  I would just let it run out, except that we usually haven't finished washing his hair/body and we need water to do that, so therefore, we have to refill.  This summer, we will definitely have to get the water hose out in the back yard.  I foresee lots of fun with that!  (These aren't the greatest pictures, but I had forgotten all day to take some and almost didn't get anything, so it will have to do...)

Day 26

Grandma and Papa came by, brought us dinner and, of course, entertained Logan for me for a little while.  Logan had a blast!

Logan wanted both Grandma & Papa to read to him, so they of course, obliged.

"Hanging" out with Grandma

Logan loves to ride the horsey with Papa.  If you don't know what that is, let me tell you.  You lay on the floor, and the child rests on your shins while you move your legs up and down (it's quite a work out as I've done it with Logan before too - except the flip part - that part scares me.  Thank goodness for Papas! Ha!).  You "sing" a little song that goes like this "Ride the horsey into town.  Ride the horsey, don't fall down!" and while you say "don't fall down" you flip the child.  Logan LOVES it and wants to do it over and over again.

That face says it all!

Day 25

Sometimes (or a lot of the time!) Logan does some silly things and it just cracks me up! Here are a couple of his silly moments today...

If he has his paci in his mouth any time other than nap time, he is usually chewing on it or playing with it in some way.  Here, I guess he decided to put it in backwards.  Ha!  He has also been obsessed with playing in his travel high chair lately.

Just hanging out and playing in his stroller while wearing his boogie legs.  I did not prompt any of this.  He gave me his boogie legs to put on him and he got the stroller out to play with.

Love this sweet boy soooo much!!

Day 24

Last night, my dad (Papa) took Logan outside for a little play time.  Since it was dark, the street lights were on creating shadows.  Logan discovered his shadow for the first time and Papa said he was not too thrilled about it.  I decided I wanted to see if he would react the same way, so Brandon and I took him out tonight.  Here's what happened...

I'm sure he will eventually realize that his shadow is not scary, but poor thing doesn't like it right now. He was even more scared of grass the first time he was in it (which we have video of that is both hilarious and sad all at the same time), and he eventually got over that, so I don't think we'll have to worry about it for too long :)
