New Name, New Posts

I know this is long overdue, but that seems to be the story of my life!  I used to be one that was much more on time to things and could get things done in a reasonable amount of time, but over the last few years it seems like I'm late to and behind on everything!  Oh, well...late is better than never, right?!

I decided, since the focus of this blog will probably not be the same with the arrival of our sweet boy, that the blog needed a new name.  I decided on "Bundle of Blessings" because it has a dual meaning.  Because babies are called "bundles of joy", and are a huge blessing, I thought it was fitting since I want to use the blog to document this special time.  The other meaning is that we receive so many blessings every day - big and small - it is like God is giving us bundles of blessings.  Sometimes we have to choose to look for them, and other times they are quite obvious.  I hope to use the blog to help remind me of all the blessings I've received - yes, the big, obvious ones, but mostly for the small ones that I have to take the time to recognize.

And with that, I have finally put up posts from the birth and Logan's first 2 months of life.  I have dated them around when they should have posted so that my blog can stay in chronological order.  Here are links to make it easier to find them.

2 Months

Logan,

You are 2 months old!  We went to the doctor and you are 13 pounds and 13 ounces (90th percentile) - almost a pound more than I thought you would be!  You are 24 1/4 inches long (89th percentile).  You look so long to me!  Your head circumference is 16 inches (65th percentile).  The doctor gave us a great report and we are so happy to have such a wonderful, healthy baby boy :)

What are you up to?  You are sleeping in your own room now and are sleeping through the night!! You actually have been for a couple weeks now.  Mommy loves it!  You usually eat between 10:00-11:00 and then wake up sometime between 5 and 7, although most of the time it's around 6 or 6:30.

You still love to stick your tongue out, and have also started making bubbles.  Along with this comes lots of drool.  Mommy is going to have to start keeping you in bibs.  You have also decided you LOVE your hands.  They are always in your mouth.  Mommy keeps trying to trade them for the pacifier, but you only spit it out and stick your hands back in your mouth.

You are smiling all the time now, and even getting pretty close to laughing.  Papa was able to get you to laugh once, but as soon as mommy got the camera out, you would not give us the good laugh you gave at first.  (Also, I feel the need to explain - before the video, my Dad had been telling me that he's a boy, and boys are rough with each other, so I needed to not worry so much about him.  So the boys Papa is talking about are the friends that Logan will have that he can play rough with.)  Here is what we were able to get on video.

You are such a sweet boy and every time you smile and talk to me it just melts my heart.  I am enjoying every minute I have with you, and will miss you soooo much when I have to go back to work.  But, I know you will be in very good hands and will have lots of fun with family for 2 weeks and then with your babysitter, Ms. Melodee, when you go to her after spring break.

It has been so wonderful to be your Mommy for the last 2 months!  I'm so glad God decided to give you to us.  I am looking forward to all of the months and years to come!

I love you!

Love,
