Summer

So I really thought that with it being summer I would post more, but obviously I haven't.  I started this post when I had 2 weeks left, but I am just now getting around to finishing it and I've been back at work officially for 2 days.  Time flies!

I have not posted much mostly because, until recently, I just haven't had anything fun or exciting going on.  I had not really made much progress on the house as the nausea didn't really subside much for me until about a month ago.  Even though I still have times during the day where I'm not feeling the greatest, it is so much better than it was and really I'm just thankful for this gift of life (and for me, nausea is just a part of that apparently).

So what have I been up to you wonder??  Well let me tell you...I spent most of June and the beginning of July resting, relaxing, and attempting (I say that because I really had no success whatsoever) to clean out the room that is supposed to be the nursery.  As most of my close friends and family know, I am TERRIBLE at making decisions.  When you're trying to clean a room, there are lots of decisions to be made - what to keep, throw away, box up and store, where to put the things you want to keep, etc.  So I mostly spent my time in there moving things around, pondering what to do with stuff and not really making very many decisions about what to do with all of the stuff.  I finally gave in and decided to get some help.  My dad built some shelves in another one of our closets to help give us some more space to store things. And, now, the room is mostly cleaned, and an added bonus is that our garage is finally clean!  My in-laws came over one Saturday and we put them to work helping us do so much needed cleaning out.  We are very lucky to have the parents we have!

In July, I had a 2 day training for the Smartboard that I will be receiving in my classroom this year.  I am so excited about it because the kids will be so much more engaged in learning because of it, and not every teacher gets one.  You had to apply and be accepted, which I did, and now I get one :)  It's going to be great!!

The day after that training I left with my husband, parents-in-law, BIL and SIL to go to Cape Cod.  My Grandma has a house there, and she was kind enough to go with us and let us invade and use her place.  She lives in Connecticut now, so we flew in to Hartford, she met us there, and then drove to the Cape.  We had a wonderful time!!

Here are a few pictures...

Enjoying a homemade dinner - grilled pork chops courtesy of my very talented hubby!  We started that day with yummy pancakes courtesy of my BIL and ended with my hubby's wonderful pork chops.  We are spoiled to have such awesome men in our lives :)

Well...that's about all I have for now.  We are just a little over 15 weeks away from baby boy Todd's due date.  It's hard to believe it's getting so close, but at times still seems forever away.  I cannot wait though!!  We have not made any progress on the name front though.  Hopefully we'll at least have a name before we leave the hospital :) Ha!
