Day 100!!!

Woohoo!! I made it 100 days.  Yes, I've been behind a lot, but I've still made it 100 days (although I did mess up that one day with no pics, videos, or good stories :(  But I did at least blog about it.)

Logan got some crayons from Gigi & Poppy for Easter.  We spent lots of time today coloring.  He's catching on to the concept pretty well, and so far isn't too interested in coloring on furniture or walls.  Ha!

Day 99

Doesn't he look so handsome and grown up sitting in the chair in his Easter clothes?  Such a cutie!

This was the best I could get of him in his outfit from the front.  He was not interested in being still.  Ha!

Day 98

16 months

Logan,

You are 16 months old!  Serious, where does all the time go?  You are getting so big so fast!

This month you...

- are talking so much more now.  You now say the word "more" as you sign it.  You also say "yum, yum", "oh no" (in the cutest way possible), "yellow", "bird," "bubble" and way more words than that but I kept forgetting to write them down.  It seems like you get a couple new words a week, so I've lost track!

- can point to yourself when someone asks "Where is Logan?"

- love to throw your dirty diapers in the trash.  I let you do it once, and now I think you feel like it is your job.

- had your first fever - and then had one again a week later.  It seems like you've been sick a lot this month.  You started with hand, foot & mouth disease, then had a very bad virus a week later with fever for 4 days.  It was very hard for Mommy to see you not feeling well  You really were a trooper though and most of the time, you didn't even seem sick.   You still have a cough that you had antibiotics for, but they didn't seem to help.  We're trying allergy medicine now, so let's hope that works.

- went on your first trip to the zoo.  You LOVED it!  Your favorite animals were the birds and fish.  You were not fond of the big elephant getting a bath though.

-are funny about what you will eat.  Some days you will love something, but the next day you won't touch it.  You also don't seem to care for anything that is white, or blandly colored.  Good thing lots of veggies are brightly colored and you will usually eat carrots, tomatoes, and green beans with no problem.

- love bubbles, but half the time, you ask us to blow them, then don't seem to pay any attention to them.  However, if we stop, you notice and get upset.  You are so silly!

- like to play "night, night" a lot.  You will randomly lay down, wherever you are, and say "night, night." So cute and silly!

- have had lots of days where you are all about Daddy.  It is so sweet to see!  Some days after Daddy gets home, you just want to follow him around and be where ever he is.  I love watching you two together!

It really just amazes me how much you learn and grow each month.  I wish I was doing a better job of writing it down so I don't forget, but you keep me so busy it's hard to.  Next month, I hope to do better.  You are such a sweet boy, and I am so proud and blessed to be your momma.  I love you so much!

Day 97

Today, Uncle Moose & Aunt Mer came in town for the weekend.  They came over to our house for dinner and to hang out with Logan (and maybe to hang out with us too - but Logan is usually who people come to see now ;-) Ha!)  We all enjoyed their company!

Day 96

One of our greatest battles that we've had from the moment Logan was mobile, is the dog crates.  Logan LOVES them, and I just don't think they are the safest things for him to play with/in/around.  And, as much as I try to vacuum them out, they're almost always dirty because the dogs go into their crates after being outside (it helps keep some of the dirt off my floors - ha!).  However, as hard as I try, I can't keep him out of them.  He especially loves to play in Bears crate, while Bear is IN the crate.  Not Bears favorite thing though.  Ha!

Day 95

So I've been doing a terrible job of getting pictures these last couple weeks.  Today, I did not get a picture of Logan before sending him to spend the night at my parents, and then forgot to ask my parents to take a picture or two, so we ended up with none :(  I'm so sad.  So, words are all I have for today, but even those aren't great.

It really wasn't too eventful of a day today.  We went to the grocery store (again! because I forgot stuff earlier this week) but thankfully it was not as "exciting" of a trip as last time, but that leaves me with no story either.  Logan took a short nap, so Papa picked him up and took him to the park.  He enjoyed some time playing, then went home with Papa, had dinner, and then when Grandma got home, he had a little bit of time to play with her before it was time to go to bed.  I can't remember if there was anything else they did that was reported to me and more interesting than that :(

So, nothing too exciting :(  I'm so sad I have no pictures, video, etc. and not even a good story.  I feel like I've failed my challenge...

Day 94

Logan's friend Haily came over for a little bit today.  I think they had fun!

Day 93

Today, we had an eventful trip to the grocery store.  I don't like eventful trips to the grocery store.  Usually Logan does pretty good as long as I don't take too long making decisions :)  So anyway, as I was on the first isle trying to make a decision about something Logan kinda fussing - trying to get my attention, but I was somewhat ignoring it and trying to find what I needed.  When I finally paid attention to him, I noticed his fingers were stuck in the bars of the basket.  I have no idea how he did that.  I managed to get one hand free and noticed the other was stuck too.  This one was REALLY stuck.  I almost started to panic because at this point, Logan was starting to cry as I imagine it hurt and every time Momma tried to get them out, it probably hurt worse.  There was another lady on the isle and I looked up at her and I must have had eyes saying please help me because she walked over and I thought maybe she would offer some assistance, but she just stood there.  I guess maybe she could have been worried I didn't want her to touch my child or something, but I was almost to tears because I was terrified I wasn't going to be able to get his fingers out and I didn't know what to do.  Finally, they came loose and we were both VERY happy!

Then, if that wasn't enough of an event, later, I gave Logan his water cup and he dropped it on the floor.  It then proceeded to roll UNDER the shelf thing.  I got on the floor to try to get it, but just my luck - it's rolled so far under that I can't reach it.  Great!  So of course there are no employees around when you need them.  I wasn't about to leave it either as it is a perfectly good cup and I don't want to buy another one.  Finally, I decided to head to the cleaning isle, I get a mop, walk back to the cereal isle, get on the floor, use the handle to fish the cup out from under the shelves.  Then, of course, Logan wants the cup, but I'm not about to give it to him - have you seen under those shelves? YUCK!  So he gets upset, but luckily I had a paci with me and I gave him that instead (yes I know I need to work on getting rid of the paci, but it saved me today.)  Needless to say, I wanted out of that store so bad!

Now for some pictures of something totally unrelated.  I showed Logan he had pockets on his jumper (or whatever you call those things) and that he could put stuff in it.  He thought it was pretty cool and had fun putting toys in his pockets :)

Day 92

Logan had lots of visitors today.  Our small group came over after church, so he got to play with his friends Hailey & Katie.

Then, Aunt Marmar, Uncle Mark & Maryellen stopped by for a little bit on their way back home.  Logan was a good helper and gave Maryellen her paci and then attempted to give her a kiss.  Such a sweet boy!

I love these 2 cutie pies so much!!
